Three Detroit Firefighters: John Gusumano, Greg Sisoy, Brian Crowder and Executive Chef Dennis Capozzoli have opened a new bar and restaurant at the corner of Cass Avenue and the railroad tracks.
Formerly the Railroad Inn, the new bar is completely restored inside and out. The good food, friendly help and fire department motif makes for a very comfortable place to come and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. The new authentic fire doors placed on the front of the building almost makes the fire trucks going by stop and want to back in. The interior with as much original brick as they could save and as much hardwood as you could possibly use, makes for a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The Engine House, is also home to an extensive collection of unique firefighter décor, artwork and memorabilia, including two massive fiery cauldrons which are suspended above the expansive bar.
No matter what your favorite diversion is, you will find it at The Engine House. With a large projection screen and numerous plasma and flat screen TV’s, The Engine House is the perfect place to watch the big game. Prefer playing your own games? No problem! The Engine House has Club Keno as well as Mega Touch. There is also a Digital Juke Box with a limitless library of all of your favorite music.
From pizza to steaks or sandwiches, salads, and Italian specialties it’s all good at The Engine House. Daily lunch and dinner specials are also available. The affordable menu will bring you back time and again. The Engine House is a seven day operation, open from 11am till 2am. Wednesday is firefighters day when fire personal from many different cities stop by to say hello to their comrades.
Come on in and have some fun and good food at a new friendly place!
